TOG24 & Pub Walks: 21 of the best pub walks in Yorkshire
During lockdown, large numbers of the British public rediscovered their love for the great outdoors.
When the measures first came into place at the end of March, outdoor exercise was of course limited to areas close to home. But as things began to ease and travel to outdoor beauty spots was allowed, we saw a dramatic increase in people falling in love again with their walking boots and the British countryside. This was fantastic news to us.
And while there is so much pleasure to be taken from breathing the fresh country air and discovering new places, there was something missing. Pubs.
Walking and country pubs are connected. And always have been. One without the other just doesn’t seem right.
So, to celebrate this great British staple, at TOG24 we’re getting involved with Pubwalks.com and sponsoring 21 of their Yorkshire pub walks. Of course, it had to be Yorkshire – our heritage means a lot to us.
The Pub Walks app
With lockdown restrictions easing and many pubs having flung open their doors on 4th July, your opportunity to discover the absolute best of nature and the best of country hospitality is well and truly back on.
And your perfect walking partner? The Pub Walks app.
Pub Walks are all about discovering new pubs and great walks. In fact, they are on a mission to find many more of both to share them with their growing community of eager pub walkers. We know many of our amazing customers are well and truly in this bracket.
The app itself is packed full of walks from the front door of each pub, providing you with an easy route to follow and showing your position on the map as you walk through the use of GPS. The maps and routes even work offline, so you’ll be fine in those remote areas we know you love with no phone signal.
Simply search for ‘Pub Walks’ on your smartphone’s app store and download the app straight to your phone. All you then need to do is get out and enjoy yourself.
The 21 best pub walks in Yorkshire
The pub walks in the app normally range from two to six miles and importantly can be enjoyed by the whole family. At TOG24 we felt we had to get involved with such a fantastic concept, by sponsoring 21 of the best pub walks in Yorkshire.
