Spring-summer 2024: our experts’ top clothing picks for the season ahead
At last, the green shoots are out, and hopefully, so are we! With warmer months ahead, many of us will be swapping our thermals for something lighter, and if you’re looking for inspiration on what to wear this season, we’ve got you covered (literally). Vanessa, Head of Product – Ashleigh Women’s Swimsuit
This Spring, we’re super excited to be launching our first women’s swim collection, and the Ashleigh Swimsuit in stunning Mykonos Blue is by far my favourite. The silhouette is incredibly flattering and the tummy control fabrics mean there is no need to feel self-conscious. The laddering details, bright colours and prints in our swim collection are perfect to wear on the beach in Greece or here in the UK.
Sam, Senior Designer – Herwick Men’s Half Zip Microfleece
One of my favourite pieces for SS24 is the Mens Herwick Microfleece. Available in steel blue or black, not only is it made using a recycled polyester microfleece, we’ve also added a woven laid on fabric to the design and introduced a new TOG24 badge to really elevate it. With a nod to the utilitarian trend, this overhead fleece is soft, lightweight and anti-pill, and is versatile enough to be worn casually with jeans and a tee, or layered up with a waterproof for a rainy summer’s day!
Abigail, Garment Technologist & Compliance Co-Ordinator – Men’s Barony Jacket & Women’s Flintham Jacket
I absolutely love the versatility of the Men’s Barony Active Jacket and Women’s Flintham insulated jacket, as you can wear them as a lightweight summer jacket, or as part of your winter layering system, which means they will be a favourite all year round. The fabric is lightweight, which makes it quick drying and offers a level of breathability, with insulation made from bamboo and recycled polyester. The fit is flattering but comfortable and ticks all the boxes for me with zip pockets for keeping all your belongings safe!
Robyn, Garment Technologist – Haller Women’s Leggings
The Haller Walking Leggings are my must have for SS24. With their comfort seams and 4 way stretch, these leggings are great for long walks through the wilderness, or relaxing in the pub afterwards. The high waist deep waistband means they are super flattering and the water-repellent finish means no wet legs when the weather turns! Best of all they have zip pockets to keep your essentials safe.
Helen, Garment Technologist – Rinder Women’s Shacket
My favourite product is the Women’s Rinder Shacket. Available in faded pink, washed black and light khaki, this lightweight shacket has a really interesting rectangular quilting detail, recycled polyester filling, and has a durable water-repellent coating. The slightly oversized silhouette is super flattering and looks great with a tee and jeans.
Niky, Designer - Hurstead Men’s Water-Resistant Trousers
My favourite product this season is the Hurstead Men’s Trousers. These are a great addition to the trouser range, as the softshell fabric makes them breathable, wind and rain resistant and extremely durable, whilst also being a great fit, too. They feel lightweight and stretchy, making them perfect for both outdoor walks and general wear.
Hayley, Junior Garment Technologist – Victoria Women’s Hoodie
By far, my favourite product this season is the Victoria Women’s Hoodie. Lightweight and fashionable, the ultra-soft brushed fabric makes this hoodie so comfortable to wear. With a sprinkle of colour in the nep, it’s certainly an eye-catching design that’s perfect for those summer evenings outdoors when the temperature drops.
Keanna, Junior Designer – Cruise Women’s long Sleeve Shirt & Samie Shorts Co-Ord
Who doesn’t love a cheeky co-ord! I love the lightweight waffle fabric of the Cruise Long Sleeve Shirt and Samie Shorts, which we have coming for SS24, and they’re perfect for mix and matching across the range. So versatile and great layering pieces for holidays, the white colourway is my favourite, as they pair so well with the bright swim collection also launching this season.
Sarah, Product Intern – Carty Women’s Microfleece
My favourite piece of SS24 is the Carty Microfleece Jacket. Available in washed black and vanilla, it’s super versatile, perfect for layering under a padded jacket for extra warmth on the chilly days, or even on its own when it’s a little warmer. It has pockets too, which are perfect for keeping your belongings safe and your hands warm.
