OUR TOP 9 MOMENTS OF 2019
While everybody reflects on 2019, and looks back on their proudest moments, we thought we would get in on the action too and share our top 9 moments of the year with you. How many of these great milestones do you remember sharing with us? And what will 2020 bring for TOG24?
1. BACK TO OUR BOOTS
We went back to to the roots of our brand and released our first footwear since producing our last shoe almost 40 years ago. We designed the collection hoping to mesh style and practicality together, with a nod to Yorkshire of course naming the 3 styles after the 3 Yorkshire Peaks. 2. SURF AND TURF
We decided to celebrate both sides of the British summer when it comes to staycations in the UK. Are you attracted to the seaside, or the forest? Well, we have you covered for both with our summer clothing collections meaning you can #GetToggedUp and get straight into the holiday action, wherever it takes you.
3. HECKMONDWIKE MAKEOVER
Our hometown of Heckmondwike is where it all began for TOG24 back in 1958, and our factory store still proudly operates today. We decided that it needed a little bit of extra TLC after all these years, so we gave it a fresh lick of paint with some new art on the walls too. Have you been to see it yet?
4. AUTUMN YAY / WINTER YAY
As the weather turned grim, we decided to have a laugh with it and embrace the British autumn and winter for all its glory. Did you catch our AW19 campaigns? There's no such thing as bad weather, after all, only the wrong clothing. Although we did need a little help from a weather machine to simulate rain and snow on the days of our photoshoots... did we fool you?
5. YORKSHIRE AIR AMBULANCE AWARD
We were so proud in win the Yorkshire Air Ambulance Corporate Supporter of the Year Yorkshire 2019. The charity does so much great work and we are very proud to support them in what they do. You can donate to them here https://www.yorkshireairambulance.org.uk/support-us/donate/.
6. SWAP A COAT
One of our favourite things to happen at TOG24 this year was our Swap a Coat scheme - we encouraged people to donate their old coats to us in-store and receive 15% off their new coat purchase. We then passed on the donated coats to local homeless charities around the country - ending on over 1,000 donations.
7. MEADOWHALL STORE
This year we decided to try something new with our pop up store in Meadowhall shopping centre, Sheffield. We are so proud to be there meeting a whole host of new customers, and sharing our products with South Yorkshire!
8. 12 DAYS OF CHRISTMAS TOGETHER
Friends of TOG24 will know that we host giveaways across social media all year round, but to celebrate the countdown to Christmas we ran an extra-special 12 day giveaway bonanza! With prizes of our own, from suitcases to ski outfits, as well as prizes from other great Yorkshire brands (Snozone, Seabrook, etc), we were so happy to spread some Christmas cheer!
9. WORKING WITH YOU
Not to get too cheesy, but we've absolutely loved the boom we've had on social media this year with being tagged in your posts, and you sharing your togged up moments with us. We especially loved everybody's enthusiasm in our Yorkshire photo competition, and hope you will continue to share the love - as we love you!
